Under 7s
Under 7yrs were back in familiar territory playing against a southern side this weekend. It was a great game played well by all. Jackson Fourie was man of the match

Under 8s
Today's game was end-to-end with both teams scoring some great tries. The game was played in great spirit with a man of the match performance from Alfonso Tuimoala, for great ball carrying and some great big tackles. The boys all made pleasing progress with recycling the ball and good work at the ruck.

Under 9s
Very strong in the game against Arks Red for Round 7. The boys continue to develop their skills and confidence and played a great game today with some strong defence, good ball distribution and excellent backing up resulting in several long range tries. Excellent and exciting running from several players which was met with great enthusiasm from the Southern Lions parental support! Man of the match was Ruben Steenkamp for an all round great game, strong running and being a great team player. Tommy McSkimming got the Encouragement Award for his active participation and team support. Well done team.

Under 10s
The boys played down at LarkHill again today. 13 boys showed up wanting to play rugby as a team, they showed a lot of courage and effort. After losing by a conversion or two, the boys' skills were showing great improvement and structure. The Mandurah team we played last week wasn't the same this week as there were new faces all over the paddock.
Our player of the day was our scrum-half, Larenz Smith who played a good game as did all the team.
Unlucky guys, try again next week!

Under 12s
Under 12 were missing 5 players against top of the table Kalamunda. They put up a great fight and tried hard. But with so many missing and no subs they ran out of steam going down 46 to 10.

Under 14s
Well, this weekend the Under 14s got a lesson in rugby. From start to finish they were totally outplayed by Wanneroo. They took six minutes to score the first try of the game. The second came not long after. We DID manage to score the third try of the match, courtesy Arno Louw, but that was the last time we troubled the scorers. The score was 54-5 at halftime. By the end of the match, they managed 12 tries. The final score was 82-5. So now we’re in second spot on the ladder and we play West Scarborough (3rd) this weekend, followed by Wanneroo (1st) again. Hopefully we can do better in these next two weeks. The boys are much better than that. Men of the match were: William Burroughs and Arno Louw.
