Yes it is that time of year when you should be thinking of starting to train for the up and coming season. Training starts this week on Tuesdays and Thursdays ready to train at 6.30pm prompt. When I say prompt I mean ready to go at 6.30!!!!

This season is a very exciting one with the introduction of us into the Championship Division. The Championship is a brand new league which will hopefully put pressure on the Premiership and improve the overall standard of rugby in WA. Our under 18's look strong in numbers and with our last years 18's should be a force in their competition. I encourage ALL of last years 18's to come down and join the squad. If you are an 18 moving into our senior teams I encourage you to get down to training right away because you are our future one which we will build around!!!

AN EXCITING EVENT IS THE COCKBURN 7's on the 8th - 10th February 2013, organised by our club which has the potential to be an annual event which will attract teams from near and far. Seniors, Ladies and 18's are invited and it should be a fantastic weekend. Ronan O'Shea and Terry Eastwood have put a huge amount of effort into this so far and I congratulate them wholeheartedly. We need all players down for training now for this event and also for the Margaret River 7's Training. The Margaret River 7's tournament is on the following weekend.

THERE WILL BE THOSE OF YOU WHO FEEL THE TIME IS NOT RIGHT FOR TRAINING BUT I'M TELLING YOU THE TIME IS NOW!!!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE IN THE OLDER AGE RANGE I HAVE BEEN QUOTED AS SAYING "THAT IT IS TIME TO PUT YOUR HANDS UP". WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW FOR THIS TOURNAMENT TO BE SUCCESSFUL. WE NEED MARSHALL'S, KITCHEN STAFF, BAR STAFF, CAR PARK ATTENDANTS, ALL WILLING HELPERS FOR THE 3 DAYS. PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR ATTENDANCE IMMEDIATELY.

As I have already said it is going to be an exciting season are you going to do your bit??????

Don't forget that Registration Day is Saturday 16th February 2013.
