Swan Suburbs RUFC travelled to Southern Lions looking to put an end to our unbeaten start to the season.
However, Swan Suburbs provide no match for Southern Lions attacking flair.
Swan Suburbs worked hard throughout and tried to put Lions under pressure but our forwards proved too strong and our backs took advantage.
Southern Lions stand-in coach Brad Fell provided the following summary of the game -
"Southern Lions 'Championship A' team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a convincing 52-12 victory over Swan Suburbs at home on Saturday.
The team started the match strongly. Our forwards had a dominance at set piece which provided a great attacking platform for the backs and we were able to score 3 tries inside the first 20 minutes. The team maintained control of territory and possession for long periods of time during the match which enabled us to outscore Swan Suburbs by 8 tries to 2.
Man of the match Joel Lamatoa produced an outstanding performance, scoring 3 tries and kicking 6 conversations for a personal points tally of 27 points."
Congratulations to the coach and players on continuing the great start to the season.
