A solid team performance with good contributions from all players has set the foundations for the 2010 season.
A strong performance was needed to get the season underway and the team took only a few minutes to blow away the cobwebs. Good combination work from the Forwards and Backline let the team settle and play.
New team Captain Chad Ramsey led well, consistently breaking through the Dogs D line allowing him to set up some credible offloads. Vice Captain Shane Gilliam had a man of the Match performance with some hard running and great positional play he made light work of the Dogs defense.
An exceptional covering tackle from Adam Shaw even put a smile on the Refs face and Jordon Paynters body dragging try showed the determination that’s needed to put 5 points in the book.
New team members were also welcomed this round with Nathan Harper at Wing, Pierre Ventner at Prop and Lock and Jaeden Stephens coming off the bench to play Prop.
