3rd Grade Gold go down fighting hard

The Lions second team couldn't break down a resilient Midlands defensive effort in the second half.

Similar to the home game against Midland, Souths fell behind early to 2 quick uncoverted tries. Souths rallied well to score a converted try but Midland crossed for 1 more unconverted try before the break.

Souths bossed the game for the second half, but only had a solitary penalty to show for all their hard work, eventually going down 10-15.

3rd Grade Gold now have 2 weeks without a game in this competition - a home game on 18/06/2011 against Bunbury in Rd 10.

NOTE - 3rd Grade Gold will be playing in the 3rd Grade Black competition in Rd 9 on 11/06/2011 at Wanneroo.
