Southern Lions Champ B2 side travelled to Thomas Oval to take on Arks RUFC.

Southern Lions were expecting a very tough game and it turned out that way.

Southern Lions lost 7-19 scoring 1 Try to 3 Tries and with 1 successful conversions.

Southern Lions coach Ashley Peel provided the following summary of the game

"First game of the season the boys started strong with an unstoppable forward pack, with a special mention to our player of the day, Kunnal Kishore, for his fast pace on the wing to score the first try of the game and the season.

Unfortunately, Arks hit back in the second half to win 19 - 7, but our boys showed good heart and never gave up. Good promise for a great season ahead shown by all players."
